This week was all about slowing down. After the whirlwind of wedding preparations, I focused on adjusting to married life and genuinely resting. It felt good to have a gentler pace, though it came with its own small challenges: wrist pain that kept me out of the boxing gym, annoying mosquito bites, and the reality check of our June wedding expenses.
Mostly, I just took things easy. I did some reading. I picked up a Batman comic, slowly worked through a bit more of SICP (even set up Dr Racket to follow along better), and casually flipped through Clean Code and Mastering Bitcoin without any pressure. I kept up with my writing habit, but nothing too intense.
The highlight was getting news that I passed my FE Mechanical exam, which was a nice surprise. I also decided to ease back into Reddit to share my creative outputs in writing communities. The best part was simply spending unhurried time with my wife and talking through our plans together.
Onto next week.
